Calum has just finished touring with Sandi Thom on her European Tour 2015 appearing at the Spey Festival, Maryport Blues Festival and the Alta Soul & Blues festival in Norway, as well as many others.
He performed under his own name at the Whickerman Festival 2015 and made a special appearance at the FREE Pride Event in Glasgow.
Born and raised in Scotland Calum has spent the past 5 years studying at ‘The New School for Jazz and Contemporary Music’ in Manhattan, New York. After being accepted for the ‘Young Artist Initiative’ he began recording his debut solo album ‘Making it Possible’, which has been nominated for awards internationally, at ‘Avatar Studios’ and Brooklyn’s ‘Speaker Sonic Studios’.
Calum has had the good fortune to play with many well-respected musicians of diverse genres in NYC, playing anything from Jazz, Blues and Folk to Americana. This natural musicianship has not gone unnoticed as Calum has not only supported Blues Rock legend Jack Bruce at The Queens Hall during Edinburgh’s Jazz and Blues Festival but ‘Making it Possible’ was mastered by none other than Gene Paul, brother to guitar-pioneer Les Paul. Beyond his solo career Calum has made a name for himself as an award winning composer (Best Sound Design, Midtown Theatre Festival) for the Off-Broadway show ‘Division Avenue’.
