PM Music & Academy Events presents another Mainstage ABC1 showcase of emerging Scottish Artists – photo below from the last mainstage showcase on 7 May 2016.
The Mainstage ABC1 on 3 September will be featuring Alt-Indie rockers Bottle Note from Edinburgh / Glasgow, stadium rockers Fools on the Frontline from Grangemouth, Glasgow’s Made of Eyes, Dumbarton’s one man band wrecking machine The Band Vandal, Paisley’s Jamie McAulay, Indie rockers Summit from Paisley and House of 4 from Crieff. Come and support your local scene as these guys tear up the legendary O2 ABC, Glasgow’s busiest concert venue.

Bottle Note 2

Bottle Note are a young Alternative/ Indie rock 4 piece based in both Edinburgh and Glasgow. They released their debut EP “First Words” in January which was met with great success, the EP was recorded and mixed by the band. “The four-piece cruises through the five-track effort with unwavering spirit; upbeat yet aggressive when need be, songs to sway along to is a definite understatement.” – The Permanent Rain Press. Since then they have played regular gigs in Glasgow and are known for their extremely energetic live performance which has built them a loyal fan base. Their second EP CALLANT which was released on the11th of June has been met with even more success. It was recorded with Mark Morrow Audio who’s work regularly features on radio. Soon after the release of CALLANT the band played their biggest show to date, headlining the 02 ABC2 in Glasgow.

Fools on the Frontline Lo Res

Fools on the Frontline: Two brothers, chance encounters and a shared vision are responsible for the origins of this band. Family, mutual friends, second hand car sales, collaboration and simple chance all played a major part in the creation of this band. In December 2015, these five fools agreed to meet in the same recording booth at FML studios to record their debut track, ‘I Am One’. At this stage these guys were still meeting for the first time. A guide demo passed around days earlier became a living realisation that this band had stumbled onto something bigger and better than any of them could create individually. This had to continue. Each playing style as individual as the players themselves, these fools create a current, razor sharp, biting narrative of contemporary living and make no apologies for doing so. Join us! The Many Lost! We are Fools on the Frontline…and so the **** are you.

“THEY BLEW ME AWAY!” – Elaine Lamb, Oban FM

“ROCKED THE WALLS OF THE COTTIERS THEATRE” – Rosalyn Mary Barclay, Camglen Radio

“A SOUND SO TIGHT IT’S LIKE THEY’VE BEEN TOGETHER SINCE BIRTH!” – Patricia Hodgins, Dunoon Community Radio.

“THERE’S A F****** GREAT NEW BAND IN SCOTLAND” – Mitch Duterck, Radio Quartz, Belgium

Made Of Eyes are a brand new Alternative Pop quartet from the UK. Their sound is made up of sweet melodies, thick guitar tones and floods of ambience.

Since forming in January 2016 they have played shows extensively around Glasgow and have recently released their DEBUT single ‘BRICKWORK’, which is currently available as a free download on their social media sites.

Band Vandal 1

BandVandal is a one man solo project by multi talented singer songwriter Neil McClafferty. Mixing many different influences he has created his own distinctive sound which is a hallmark of and best known for always being explosive when playing live. Combining hard hitting guitar with raw rasping vocals and some lightly added percussion , you have a one man band wrecking machine. This guy has played thousands of live shows and has been currently up and down the U.K over the past few months blowing places away at gigs and festivals , a definite must see live act.

Jamie McAulay1

Jamie McAulay and his band are a young energetic pop solo artist from Paisley inspired by 1975 , James bay , Motown and Rolling Stones this young Paisley artist will blow the roof off of any venue.

Summit are a four piece indie/rock band from paisley, Scotland. Since starting in late 2014 the band have gained popularity and have a hard core following who attend most gigs. The bands consist of vocalist and guitarist Matthew Coyle, Bassist and vocalist Daniel Gallagher, Matthew Marshall on lead guitar and Lewis Downie on drums. The band recently supported a band called ‘The Carnabys’ at King Tut’s Wah Wah Hut, and since then have become regular part of the Glasgow music scene.

House of 4 – We started out in a practise room hired out for us in our local town of Crieff, Perthshire where we wrote a few of our own songs but covered pop punk bands like Blink-182 and Green Day. We played a few small gigs around the area of Crieff but our first 6 months were really quiet, until we headlined Perth’s Oxjam festival of 2015 – which was where our fan-base started to expand. We played a sell out show of 120 people in our favourite local venue in our hometown in the January of 2016, and have played several shows in the majority of Perth’s gig venues. After a battle of the bands competition in April, we decided to take a break from gigging and focus on our debut EP named “Two Little Things”. This was recorded by our good friend Elijah Carey and was released on the 6th August, 2016 on iTunes, Spotify Deezer and all other major music networks. The three tracks (O-K,  The Future and Two Little Things) were all performed at our first gig in Glasgow at the O2 ABC2, which we actually used as the EP release gig, as we supported 100 Fables. Since then we have been in discussion with PM Music after they enjoyed our set at the ABC2 and have been asked back to play at the ABC1 along with several other local bands… an offer way to good to miss!!
