Pauline Vallance is an award-winning singer/songwriter and clarsach player from Ayrshire.
She has been likened to “a female Jonathan Richman” and “a Scottish Joni Mitchell” among other things. Her songs will transport you from the depths of the Russian winter to the delights of the Northumberland coast, from historical tales, to modern dilemmas, like dogs eating mobile phones.
She is a regular solo performer at folk clubs, concerts and festivals and is also in a number of groups. Last year she toured in Canada and Australia and this year, has appeared at Eden Festival, Doonfest, the Moira Furnace Festival and the Edinburgh Fringe and in the Songwriters Uncovered Series in Greenock, endorsed by James Grant.
She also likes unusual venues and has recently performed in a Japanese garden and in a giftshop. She has brought out 2 CDs so far – ‘Songs, Spells and Salsa Moves’ and ‘Golden Slumbers’, both available through all the usual channels. She is usually described as “a bit different”, but also “timeless, magical and unique”.
